This author, Blu Daniels pulled it off- she was definitely in on the joke, because in 'Misconceptions', right off the bat she calls herself out by opening with a journal entry by the main character Alexandria (Alex) proclaiming the sheer implausibility of her situation, backed up with that authority of all authorities, Wikipedia. ![]() ![]() So I had to see how this would get pulled off, because as a writer myself, I wouldn't have the stones to even attempt it. but here's the kicker- with QUADRUPLETS, y'all. A twenty-five year old woman on contraception who has intercourse with a dude wearing a condom gets pregnant. And here's why: is the author in on the joke, I wonder? Or is he/she actually going to try to make us 'believe' this? Here's the deal. Whenever I read a blurb with a plot as far-fetched as the one in 'Misconceptions', I'm always curious. ![]()
